Van Rental
A van is a type of road vehicle used for transporting goods or humans. In terms of physical size, vans are usually larger than a passenger SUV, but smaller than a mini truck. Generally, there are 2 main types of vans: Cargo Van and Passenger Van.
Cargo vans are designed specifically to transport goods and materials alongside 2 passengers only (including the driver). Besides the driver’s front cabin, the rest of the interior of a cargo van is emptied out to maximize the cargo space available for transporting goods and materials.
Most cargo vans have the capacity to carry and transport around 1 ton of combined payload in their cargo space. This makes it an excellent choice to transport limited size cargo and equipment.
On the other hand, passenger vans are designed specifically to transport a small group of people from one location to another. Depending on size and design, most vans have a seating configuration to accommodate between 7 to 14 passengers (including the driver). Vans that a 15 seat capacity and above do exist but are less common. For project sites that do not need too many site workers, a passenger van is an excellent mode of transportation.
Passenger vans are basically cargo vans except that the cargo space has been converted and utilized to install passenger seats. As a result, passenger vans usually do not offer much cargo space to store passenger items.
Both cargo and passenger type vans usually come in 2 configurations: Standard Roof and High Roof.
The High Roof versions of vans are slightly taller than their Standard Roof counterparts. This extra height offers extra interior space as a result. For a cargo van, this means a slightly higher load capacity and slightly larger entry clearance for easier loading and unloading. For a passenger van, a higher roof makes it easier for passengers to board and alight the vehicle.
